Kevin Gorczynski is an autodidact mime. At the age of 14 he was a Black Belt and the European champion in Nunchaku. From the age of 15 he has been in regular employment first as a dancer and then as a mime/clown at a variety of theme parks in Holland, Germany, and currently in France.

In 2015 he graduated from the Dance Academy of Utrecht. Since 2013 he has studied with Ira in numerous workshops and also performed in his projects in Italy and Paris.

Recently Kevin has been a finalist for two roles in Cirque du Soleil. Kevin is fluent in Dutch, German, English, and has an intermediate ability with Polish and French.

He has also written, directed, choreographed and played the main role in 2015 & 2016 for the main theme park’s Halloween season show for the month of October.

Kevin Gorczynski as Pinocchio in "Commedia Totò" directed by Ira Seidenstein.

In 2013 I made my first audition for Cirque du Soleil. I decided to find a coach who could help me further. Then I found Ira and started with him with a project-workshop called “Commedia Toto” in that I played Toto as “Pinocchio” in Tuscany, Italy. In that project I also assisted Ira with the choreography. This was the moment my journey started in myself, and soon I even had a journey literally to the other side of the world (Australia ) and I realised that this was not only a "clown" coach this was a life coach and friend!!

I started to learn how to connect the body and mind in a creative way together and it was a big eye opener! Every time after the workshop period I am analysing what I studied and researched, what I have learned during the classes I had with Ira. Train more and more and challenge myself with exercises of clown, mime, verbal acting, juggling and acrobatics and keep on working/training what I have done in the past.

I use the Seidenstein method in my daily training and have explored and experienced the new ways of moving and thinking. I still followed my dream and in 2015 I was accepted in the database of Cirque du Soleil! And since then have also been a finalist for two clown roles in CDS!

The word Clowning means for me; creativity! Being creative in mind, body, exercises, training and even in life. Because of Ira's exercises I improved my entire professional performances a lot and continue to train with those exercises as a daily discipline during my long contracts.
